Love guns? Love Jeeps? How about money? Well, you’re in luck because the National Rifle Association (NRA) has announced they will be raffling a Jeep, cash, and guns. The contest is open to anyone, not just NRA members.

Giveaway winner gets cash, a customized off-road monster, and two ARs

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. makes the Jeep and it’s a 2015 Wrangler. It’s not stock. Actually, it was customized by famous TV personality Jesse James. Any Jeep or car fanatic knows he had a car customizing show Outlaw Garage on the Discovery channel.

According to the contest page the  Jeep is a 4WD 2015 Jeep Wrangler with a  custom-made Kevlar pickup bed, custom fenders, custom cargo rack, and Mil-spec wheels. It’s been specially customized too look good and perform in the mud.

As for the guns, two custom-designed ARs from Jesse James firearms are up for grabs.  An Unlimited Nomad 15 rifle in .223 and an Unlimited Nomad rifle 10 in .308 are going to one lucky winner.

As if it was just an afterthought, they’re throwing in an extra $20,000 in cash to the lucky winner.

Why is the NRA raffling off all of this?

The over-the-top giveaway prizes have people wondering why the NRA is being so generous. While contest giveaways for the NRA aren’t uncommon, this one feels like a big push for members.

There isn’t any information as of now about the results so far, but if they are able to sign up new members and renewals because of the buzz over this raffle, they will make up the amount of money they invested in it through the cost of the memberships.

As of May 2016, the cost of a membership is $40 for one year, $75 for two years, $100 for three years, and $140 for five years. With the membership, people receive a free duffel bag, NRA magazine, insurance offers for you and your guns, and invitations for dinners, special events, and more. As you can see, being a member can lead to investing in other NRA-sponsored services and activities, which makes them more money.

The NRA Truck Raffle Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States. Those who enter must be at least 21 years or older and be a licensed driver. Entering online is available and entries must be received by 9 AM EST on September 15, 2016.
